IKEBANA (FLOWER) ARRANGEMENT AND PAINTING/CALLIGRAPHY WORKSHOP

JICA Alumni Association of Pakistan (JAAP) has organised workshop on Ikebana (Flower) arrangement for ladies and Painting/Calligraphy for children for JAAP members and their families on 14th December 2008 (Sunday) at the Sir Syed Memorial Society Hall , Islamabad at 1200 to 1600 hours. About 130 members participated, Programme started with recitation of Holy Quran by Mr. Saad Zia.

During the Workshop, 3 experts Ms. Musarrat Zain, Ms. Faiza Qamar and Mr. Riffat Khattak covered various aspects of Ikebana/ flower arrangements, Glass painting, Water painting and calligraphy. Members showed keen interest and enjoyed the programme. Chief Representative Mr. OTAKE Tomoharu and . Senior Representative Mr. HAJIME Nabeta, JICA Pakistan Office were are also attended the programme and appreciated the management of JAAP. Prof. K. A. Abbas, President of JAAP presented the insignia of JAAP to the honourable guests of JICA Pakistan Office which was prepared by one of experts during the workshop. Lunch was served at the end of the programme. Prof. K.A. Abbas, President and Mr. Sajjad Ahmed Bokhari, General Secretary, JAAP thanked and appreciated the Sub-committee comprising Mr. Rafiullah Khan, Ms. Shabana Liaqat, and Mr. Innayat Ullah Shah, Executive members for organizing the programme
